YOUTH  MUSIC & ARTS PROGRAMS 

The Merger between Arts and Education: The Elements of Bridging the Gap

The programs is planned to give attention to the unity between Arts and Education from the standpoint that General Education is illuminated through the Arts.  The amending thought is that the Arts are put in a place of retardation without General Education.  To ensure that the attention needed is given to general education, a tutorial program is instituted entitled “G.E.T. IN” to make sure that students who need assistance in common forms of education, get the assistance needed to continue in school (i.e. Math Science English Social Studies etc.). The Arts entail math to know that a whole note = 4 counts, and English to be able to read and create scripts for theatrical presentation.

The program has __6__ components. These components would be:

Music 

Instrumental and Vocal

This class is designed to expose participants to new techniques, chords, and methodology of playing piano, keyboards, organ, bass, guitar and drums. We must always endeavor to ensure the capability of musical maturity while simultaneously perfecting our gifting through spiritual and intellectual pursuits. 

Theatre

Acting Staging and Set Design

Interacting

Dancing Marching Synchronization and Choreography

This session teaches and empowers dancers in various liturgical styles to better interpret a song using different dance styles, banners, flags, mime and sign in musical presentation for greater impact.

The entire program stands on the shoulders of a principle or prophecy in the art of motivation which says;

Everyone has the ability to better themselves with direction, encouragement, inspiration and an opportunity to present or display that which has been nurtured.

 

PROGRESSIVE GROUPING

Proactively, in order to create a setting that will make learning and adaptability, we have set age groups to accommodate peer learning acceleration.  In youth settings even in the category of intramurals and athletics, age framing is important to the prosperity of learning and monitoring the adaptive edge of grasping the mechanics of the element.  Our age classification goes as follows:

 

7-10 years of age

11 – 13 years of age

14 – 17 years of age
